With over 40 years of ministry experience as pastors, missionaries, leading seminars, hosting missions teams, and as church planters, (participating in the planting of over 200 churches in the US, Africa and Latin America)
the Powells founded SMR with a desire to promote the team concept of ministry to serve pastors, missionaries, and national church leaders to better accomplish the work God has called us to.
Michael & Debra Dissanayeke
Michael & Debra Dissanayeke
Pastors, church planters and former Superintendent of the Sri Lankan Assemblies of God, now serving as NTD missionaries to South Asia, specifically to the Buddhist and Hindu world.
Michael is also a member of several committees of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship and serves in training pastors, developing leadership, church planting and missions strategies with Assemblies of God all over the world.
Tim & Kristy
Tim is the son of missionaries and grew up in Africa.
He worked in public education for several years before being called back to the mission field in West Africa.
Tim now serves as the director of IFM - an on-line Bible school providing quality theological and practical training for French speaking ministers around the world, including here in the USA. Kristy has worked in education
David & Johnna Baze
The Baze’s have served bi-vocationally in various roles of ministry for 37 years.
The Baze’s have been involved in missions ministry and have led construction projects both overseas and here in the US helping churches with their construction of remodeling needs.
They currently are pastors of faith Assembly in Carthage, TX and Dave serves as presbyter of the Longview section of the Assemblies of God.
Bob & Debi Weis
Bob is the son of pastors and Debi the daughter of missionaries to Africa. Together they have served in pastoral ministry for over 40 years and have been involved in missions work, leadership training, and teaching.
They are pastors of First Assembly of God in Marble Falls and Bob is currently the presbyter of the north Austin Section of the Assemblies of God.
Debi recently retired from an accomplished career as an educator.
Jeff & Sharleen Andersen
Jeff has served in youth ministry in the local church, district and national levels and has always been at the forefront of innovation and creativity, and in the use of audio and video technology .
After fruitful years in ministry the Lord led Jeff into the business world with his business VCRNow implementing Godly principles in a secular environment to further Kingdom initiatives.
Jeff is a Kingdom minded visionary and entrepreneur lending Godly counsel to churches and businesses alike. Sharleen also, is a career educator involved in sharing a Christ-like witness in a secular environment.
Jean & Elyse Ouedraogo
Pastor Jean and Elyse Ouedraogo are both Burkina Faso natives (West Africa) and they are passionate about God’s people of different cultures experiencing the love and the grace of God and His transformative Word.
Jean and Elyse has planted a church for the Francophone community Agape Gospel Fellowship AG in Houston TX since 2021.
They believe that the river that once flowed from the U.S. to Burkina Faso is now returning. It’s not a coincidence. It’s the Kingdom of God in motion.
The very land that once sent missionaries to save souls like Jean and Elyse, And today, God is calling them to return the blessing. The harvest in Burkina Faso has become a new seed for revival in America.
